M-STUDIO
Over time, my visual expression has changed – evolving more toward a dreamily impressionistic presentation of reality. I find myself creating altered images that are very close to the line separating abstraction and impression. Usually, but not always, the image resides just on the impressionistic side of visualization, though it occasionally crosses over into the abstract world. For M-STUDIO images, I generally start with organic shapes and colors; for now, those play the dominant roles in the creation of these new expressions. Then, I continue by playing with textures and patterns to discover new perspectives or insights. Finally, composition and feeling come together to complete the work. Thus, the unique offerings from “M-STUDIO.”
Take your time; there is no hurry. Come back again to browse and enjoy. This online catalog is free. And we strongly suggest that you view these images on a large screen. Yet, each is perfect for personal note cards.

24 imagesSANS CLASSEMENT [THREE] Sans Classement is the most overtly abstract of any M-Studio collection. Enjoyment, however, need not be a challenge. Don’t worry about where the image file originated. The initial content matters not - whether plant, animal, mineral, or unknown. What does matter is what you perceive now - physically, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually. What is the "feeling?" You also may be interested in our other abstract images accessible from our list of galleries and in our FRESH VISIONS gallery.

9 imagesTHE PATH OF STEEL -- Remnants of past technological wonders can be found along the railways that grip the earthly surface and flow from scattered place to place. Rust and erosion matter not to the almost timeless thunder, the almost timeless reminder, that still passes.
-

-
6 imagesGARDEN GESTURES - Three – The visual varieties and pleasures are many as we explore the garden – formal or informal, extemporaneous or accidental. If you care, the title of the image may guide your sight – the patterns for enjoyment only. Linger, there is no challenge, no demand, and take in the details and textures. Appreciate what you will with your own personal temperament.
-
24 imagesEQUALITE – Equal dimensions do not necessarily mean balance or stability. These images, however, do give the impression of something at least temporarily immobile, something that will deliver the opportunity for both observation and reflection, especially since the square tends to focus our attention. Feel where your eye moves as you absorb these images.
-
18 imagesLANDSCAPE SCENES – As with individual flowers and plants, and with the assembled garden, the landscape, too, offers a vision of collective pleasantry. In general, these scenes are mostly identifiable as landscapes – even if each individual image file did not necessarily begin that way.
-
7 imagesWINTER WETLANDS -- The warmth has departed and left us with a grey, dull chill and more questions.
-
2 imagesGARDEN DANCERS -- Yet, our imagination takes to the polished floor to express such joy and abandon that we forget ourselves and our planted roots.
-
38 imagesGARDEN GESTURES - Two – The visual varieties and pleasures are many as we explore the garden – formal or informal, extemporaneous or accidental. 38 imagesPORTRAITS IN BLOOM – Images created from individual subjects never posed and always caught at their best in their surroundings at the moment of capture. So many of these images were surprises as they emerged from the ordinary casualness of mundane Life. (Yet, how can the miracle of living be mundane.) You likely will recognize many of these subjects if you have strolled through the natural world around us.
-
21 imagesMEADOW LIFE - Life in the meadow. Here are the individuals you will find in the fields of fall. Alone but not lonely or solitary.
-
26 imagesSTUDIES IN THE FIELD - Variations on images captured literally in the field. The studies, however, mainly took place back in the workshop where different possibilities were tried and discarded. The subjects are mostly obvious; the point is to explore aesthetics. The exercise resulted in some new insights but little more in the way of technique or approach.

8 imagesSLEEPY GARDEN - In the mist of a memory, the darkness has fallen to show off more textures in the magic of a garden drifting toward dreamland where reality remains but is simply a different consciousness - still being, but un-tethered from physical limitations.
-
16 imagesSHELLS ON THE BEACH -- Among Nature's wonders both the shore and its lively occupants give us pleasures for discovery. The shapes of shells, their ridged and glistening surfaces, the arrangement placed by salty waves, the colors warm and cool. Believe your eyes and contemplate our own placement.
-
15 imagesRandom Traces -- What happens to movement and color when the background weakly fades and the colors gain a new strength?
-
5 imagesAQUAVARIANTS - From beneath the watery surface comes . . . not these images. To spite their appearances, these are simply objects on the dry land. The question is not whether the eye plays tricks on us.
-
32 imagesFLORAL FANTASY – You can easily find or at least imagine the leaves and blossoms shown not too subtlety within. The form is floral, and you might see the traces of each image’s journey. But there’s no need to figure it out; just enjoy the simple presentation that appears. Gaze into the detail and enjoy the feeling.

-
4 imagesBLUE AND GREEN -- Floating mists of white and grey, among the shapes of blue and green a pleasant deception masked within, promising better futures.
-
13 imagesFEATHERED FRIENDS – Enjoy the carefree play of shorebirds busy with their day. Dancing on the sand, dancing on the water - ready to dart away from visitors who come too close.
-
12 imagesALONG THE SHORE – Don’t we all love water – lakes, rivers, streams, and especially the ocean? These images were mostly unexpected, and they surprised me as they appeared. As I move pixels about, I sometimes have no expectation of the result. Other times, I’m trying for a look or feel. With these images, I was expecting to go to a certain place, but found myself in another far flung locale altogether. My first reaction was disappointment. But, I found myself coming back to them again (and then again) for another look – some odd fascination at work.
